We live in a world of plenty and yet millions of people find themselves in need every day. 1 in 8 Australians live below the poverty line, creating a need for everyday items others may take for granted – from toiletries, clothing, mattresses or a toy for a child. More than $2.5 billion of brand-new unsold goods go to waste every year and Good360 passionately works to divert these goods to communities in need. Good360 connects businesses surplus brand-new goods with the most vulnerable in our communities, creating a Circle of Good that reduces both need and waste. Good360 works to connect these new goods into communities across the country, assisting on average, two Australians every minute through our network of nearly 4,000 local charities and disadvantaged schools. Good360 doesn’t just focus on one individual cause, our charity partners work in support of over 35 cause areas including; cost of living, domestic violence, homelessness, indigenous communities and disaster relief.
As an individual supporter, you can join the Circle of Good through a financial contribution to Good360. Every $5 donated delivers $100 worth of brand new items to Australians in need. Donate today at: https://give.good360.org.au/
Whatever your surplus goods problem, we have the breadth of distribution services to offer a solution and a network of Not for Profit and school partners in all cause areas across Australian who will give the goods a life through their local communities. The Good360 Corporate Volunteer Program also offers employers from small through to large businesses, the opportunity to offer their teams a chance experience a day at our warehouse in Smithfield, Sydney. What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?
Good360 is partnering with more than 450 Australian businesses and suppliers to help reduce excess unsold goods going to waste and keeping products at their highest possible value and in circulation for as long as possible, playing a critical role in the Circular Economy. These products are connected to those in our communities who need them most, providing a social good in our communities and reducing both need and waste at the same time. This model has indirect benefits including emissions reduction by diverting products from landfill and extending the life of goods that have already been created with Earth’s precious resources. On a direct basis, Good360 is also reviewing its own environmental impacts of internal operations including sustainable packaging options (e.g., reusing boxes from business donors) and emissions reductions initiatives for warehouse and logistics. The team is creating its first Good360 People & Planet sustainability plan providing ambitious targets and tracking progress towards these goals.Learn more →
